I cannot get Premiere Pro to read timecode from ProRes Files

I have a pix240i that I use to record Pro Res Files to.  When I import the ProRes Files into Premiere, each clip's timecode starts at 00:00:00:00,, instead of displaying the camera recorded timecode, even though I have 'Use Media Source' selected in the Preferences.  If I take the same clips into Quicktime or Final Cut Pro, they read the proper timecode.  This is a big deal, that I need resolved.  Any solutions or is this a Premiere Pro Bug.  I did some research and found that some people had this issue last year but I never  saw a resolution.

Exported File Needs Headphones on Mobile Devices

I recorded a shot clip with my Sony A7S [XAVS-C 50P] to distribute to mobile devices via whatts app, facebook youtube etc. After editing in Prpro CC 2015.0 on Windows 10. I exported it into two H264 files half HD for mobile devices and 1080p for the web.

 

After forwarding the video I was told that it didn't have audio, I played it back on the PC and the audio was loud and clear, on my android phone it was terrible, I couldn't hear it. With headphones it was OK. The one on YouTube was great playing using my internet browser on the PC, but after sharing the link to mobile devices it was the same, no sound on mobile devices. Tried to export this on my old PC which was still running windows 10 and PrPro CC 2014, RESULTS WERE THE SAME.

 

I recorded the sound straight into the camera with my RODE NTG2! I tried unlinking the audio, render and replace in nested sequence and the levels were  -42db [See print screen below]

Problem beim Importieren von MXF-Files

Ich kann ein MXF-File nicht importieren. Es gibt eine Fehlermeldung "MXF-Dekodierungsfehler bei Frame XXX".Und das nicht nur bei einem Frame, sondern bei von einem Clip. Andere MXF files konnte ich allerdings problemlos importieren. Wo könnte das Problem liegen?

Issue with MXF file not loading entire video (CS5) ?

Hello there.  I am Using Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 and recently the cameras we use for the Cable Network that airs my TV Show, upgraded to Sony PXW-X160 (we were using Mini DV, so this was a nice upgrade!)

Now, here's the issue:

I've loaded the files onto my HD (including both the MXF file and the XML).  For the most part everything seem to be working fine except for one which is roughly about 8 GB's / 38 mins. long.

That file plays perfectly fine in Windows Media player and VLC but only loads 26 seconds of it when editing in Adobe ?
I've worked with files this large and larger before and this is the 1st time I've ever had this issue ?

White dot in the center of the video layout

Workflow to edit Multicam-Audio in Audition

It is probably very simple, but I cannot find the solution. If I use Multicam, how can I edit the different Audiotracks of a clip in Audition? If I alt-click the Audio-track, the option to edit in Audition is greyed out. Any good solutions?

How do I nudge the video forward a few frames to better align with the audio?

I have three cameras raw video. Camera #2 is very slightly out of sync video to audio. What is the best way to simply nudge either the audio or the video so that the lip sync is accurate?

I'm attempting to use the 'Three way color corrector' - 'Secondary color correction' After I pick the specific colour I want to correct and I tick, 'show mask', I get a blank white screen. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

CC 2015 multicam problems

I use multicam on all my projects - and Premiere Pro CC 214 worked well. Ever since I upgraded to CC 2015 multicam is a real problem. On some multicam  sequences - (they have the same media types as all the other sequences) when I edit the multicam sequence into a timeline, and switch camera angle - the multicam viewer goes black - but only on some multicam sequences - not all. The correct track is targeted.  Nothing I do can restore the multicam viewer for the clip. Even if I remove - and re-edit the clip into the timeline - the problem persists. I also have a problem with the camera angles going out of sync in the timeline on some multicam clips - but sync is correct if I match frame and open the multicam sequence in the viewer window. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem - or do I need to go back to CC2014 for now? Anyone else having problems?  I have other minor bugs such as a notification the 'audio file not found' that pops up during playback  - when I can see and hear and playback the file in the timeline no problem.

 

I am on HP tower, WIndows 7 64 bit Professional, SP1. Footage is Canon DSLR, and iphone as well as a WAV audio file. I also opened the project on my macbook pro - the problem persists.

Adobe Premiere CC 2015 Slow Responding?

Hello,

 

After opening an old project yesterday, which was built on Premiere Pro CS6,

today my Adobe Premiere CC 2015 is running very slow. It does not respond well and has a huge delay.

 

Rendering (Exporting) is fine.

 

What could be the reason for this?

 

I am using the last update of Premiere Pro CC, as well as the last Mac OS X version (10.10.4).

Please let me know what additional information might help you to understand the problem.

i find it DISGUSTING that you spend HUNDREDS of dollars on a product and you are told that the only help ypu can get is an online chat with completely useless, fumbling people who keep you on there for over an hour with no result. this is how adobe treats its customers. if you have a product that is not brand new and are a loyal customer your problems do not matter and you are not allowed to speak on the phone - not even to make a complaint! that way adobe can live under a rock never having to hear from its customers. thank you adobe - for allowing me to waste over $500 of my money on a product that does not function and that you don;t care enough to help me fix!!! i will NEVER use adobe products AGAIN.

Thoughts about combining two separate projects in CS6?

I have footage from two events shot separately a year apart. I put the most recent event's footage into a separate project on a separate hard drive.

 

Unfortunately, my client is now asking for more videos using footage from both years together.

 

Any thoughts about how best to merge the two projects?

 

I have hours and hours of transcribed interviews and subclips with tons of metadata included. Most of the footage is AVCHD, so it is meaningless unless I can see it in the project.

 

I've successfully imported sequences from one project to another, but much of what I need hasn't made it into a sequence yet. It's subclips, all transcribed.

 

I started adding just what I need of the new footage into the older project, but I'm finding I need the metadata and don't want to have to redo everything I've been doing into a new project. I'm hoping there is a better way!

 

Thoughts?

i just started to use premiere and i know the clips i am using has sound all the way through. but upon importing said clip, the first half will have sound and the second half does not. also i do have a couple other clips without sound as well. they were all produced the same way so i do not understand what is going on.

Odd scrubbing bug in Effects Controls...won't stay restricted to selected clip.

When scrubbing in Effects Controls, my timeline quickly jumps to other clips instead of being restricted to the clip I have selected.  Its like scrubbing through the main timeline, which is VERY bad.  Even clicking next or preview key frame, it will completely skip over to the next clip in the timeline with a keyframe, ignoring keyframes in the current clip.  Just bazaar!!!!  Anyone else experiencing this?  Didn't happen in 2014.  Has NEVER happened before actually.

[Audio but not] Video Won't Import into Sequence

Newbie here. Don't smirk too much when you read this, please...

 

When I have a new project open, I can import one video with sound clip into the first sequence. But, when I try to drag in another clip from the Project folder, it only brings along the audio track from the video clip. Been banging my head on the desk for a while trying to figure this out - plus watching too many tutorials, non which address this problem.

 

Your advice is appreciated.

Premiere Pro CC Project bloating

Hi,

We are cutting a feature documentary using premiere pro cc v 8.1, Caravan. (it says 8.2.0(65) Build) at the bottom.

We have multiple projects housing logged footage from multiple periods of time. A total of 14.75 TBs

The biggest project is our rough cut project, currently at about 45mb

What we are dealing with is this - Once the project size crosses around 40mb or so, performance slows down, playback has issues, premiere crashes more often. It becomes generally difficult to navigate and work on.

We are working off of a 10gb ethernet server currently, However we had the same issue working off of a fiber server a couple of months ago. We are using multiple computers of course.

 

Is there a limit to project file sizes?

 

Any Suggestions?

 

 

Typically our computers typically have the following config:

 

4Ghz Intel Core i7

32GB 1600MHz DDR3

AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4096 MB

OS X 10.10.1

 

3.5Ghz 6-Core intel Xeon E5

64GB 1867 Mhz DDR3 ECC

AMD Fire Pro D500 3072 MB

OS X 10.9.5

Premiere Pro CC: can blue text interface be changed back to yellow?

Just wondering if there's an option in preferences to change the color of the interface text. It used to be yellow and now it's more difficult to see.

 

I notice the blue text across the entire range of updated programs: AE, PP, Photoshop, etc.

So is it a setting in the cloud itself that would allow me to change the color back to yellow?

 

If not, not big issue, I'll just have to get used to it. Love the new interface in any case. Much more responsive with no issues.
