I've gone through and made some updates to my preferences, but when I go to press the "OK" button to accept those changes, nothing happens. When I press "OK" the preferences dialogue just remains open.
The only way to get it to close is by pressing "Cancel".
Anybody else?
I'm colour blind and am having problems seeing the anchor point due to the background colour. Can I change the anchor point colour?

My current laptop isn't handling PrPro. Its brand new i7, 12GB RAM, but its not playing video smoothly in the editing process. Looking at buying something more substantial.
Is it true that High performance GPU is better than massive amounts of RAM? Dose PrPro only take advantage of 10-12GB of Ram and the rest is essentially useless?
The price of some of the high performance gaming desktops I was looking at is between $2000 and $4000, really hoping for some advise before spending so much. As an example; will the specs of the desktop below help me? Will it make the program work faster and not freeze up and skip in the editing process?
What are you guys running? Any recommendations?

I am creating closed captions directly in Premiere Pro CC because I don't have software to create a .css. I am having 2 issues:
1. I have selected the "pop-on" setting but instead of the text all popping on at once, the first few words pop-on and then the rest of the text comes on as letters showing up one after the other, replacing each other. How do I get the whole text to come on at one time?
2. I am setting the captions according to the timing of the dialogue, which requires me to watch the video for start and stop times for each caption. Whenever I click on the timeline, the captions I am working on in the project window are replaced with an empty caption tab, and I have to go back to project>media browser>my captions file. Is there a way to avoid the caption file I'm working on going away each time? This small issue would make my project take way more time.

Bonjour, j'ai un problème très embêtant depuis la mise à jour cc2015 sur Mac.
En effet, l'application perd le répertoire des caches média. L'explication : le volume externe porte un nom différent du vrai nom. je m'explique :
Mon volume s'appelle Lacie_4, mais depuis la mise à jour, Adobe Premiere détecte deux volumes : Lacie_4 (vide) et Lacie_4_1 qui, en réalité, n'existe pas dans le finder, mais dans lequel je retrouve mes données. Donc je suis obligé à chaque lancement de repointer vers ce "faux" volume mais du coup dès que je redémarre l'ordinateur, et que je lance l'application Adobe Premiere pro, il ne voit plus le dossier puisque mon volume Lacie_4_1 n'existe pas dans mon finder.
Comment résoudre ce problème ? peut être en supprimant des préférence d'application dans l'OS Mac et ainsi faire un reset des mémoires sur l'indexation des volumes ?

Wenn der Benutzer ein neues Premiere Pro Projekt eröffnet, ist der Standard-Projektpfad auf die "Eigenen Dateien" verwiesen. Ich will aber, dass der Standard Projektpfad auf D:\PrProjekte verwiesen wird, ohne das der Benutzer dies immer wieder einstellen muss.
Wo kann ich dies konfigurieren.
Schön wäre es noch wenn man die letzten Projekte des Benutzers anzeigen könnte. Leider funktioniert dies nur wenn der Benutzer Administrator ist, unsere Benutzer sind aber keine Administratoren.

I was curious if anyone knows the proper way to mix 4k footage with 1080p footage (on a 1080p sequence) and create a multicam sequence with that footage and still preserve the resolution/pixel information of the 4k shots so I can zoom in and pan/scan it if I choose. I'm guessing I have to select the 4k clip and choose "Set to Frame Size" right? Well then what? Does it retain that resolution/pixel info once it's nested into a multicam? It doesn't seem to when I zoom in on a nested clip vs when I zoom in on the native clip. What's the best way to do this then?

I am having trouble with audio in my exports since the latest update to CC15.
The problem appears after exporting my sequence, I will find small glitchy pop sounds as new audio is introduced, this could be the first instance of audio on its own as well as audio with background music. The pop itself is not audible in the timeline.
I believe it only relates to audio attached to clips and not addition music.
I have tried bringing audio in using keyframes and transitons,this does not fix it.
I have also tried exporting audio, re-importing, bringing the volume down on the clip where the Pop is however it will still export a new pop where the Audio clip on the timeline starts.
This glitch appears in numerous projects that I have looked at since updating which otherwise exported fine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is anyone else experiencing audio "popping" in CC 2015 when playing back a timeline? Happens at random times. If I stop playing and restart over the area that had a pop, it is no longer there. There is no popping on the source audio and this problem did not exist in CC 2014.
I recently upgraded to adobe Premiere Pro CC from CS5.5 and for a while it was working fine, then all of a sudden a random crash appeared saying "Adobe Premiere Pro CC has stopped working" and no solution is found so forcibly it quits. I have restarted my computer and still the error happens whenever I launch the sequence I am working on. This is extremely furstrating!

I have a sequence that I need to export as AAF for dialogue work. It contains 4-channel wav files and for some reason Premiere only exports channel one and in the AAF file when you open it all 4 channels contain info from channel one of the wav files, it fills channels 2 to 4 with channel 1 audio.
Here's a screenshot of what Im trying to export (notice same file name but different audio on all channels)
Here's what is rendered and seen when you open the AAF file. It's missing A2 and A3 audio and is using A1 audio on all three tracks. It also only renders one wav file instead of three.
Here's the settings I'm using. I've done this before and it has worked. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
This is just another error message to add to the long list of ones I'm getting with this complete utter SH*T software!
"AUDIO MISSING AT 00" The audio is there on the timeline and plays fine when you scrub though the timeline.
Since the last update to Premiere Pro (June 2015 9.0.0 build 247) the program monitor goes black every now and then.
It happens once the projects starts to be a bit complicated (one clip above the other with one effect or more).
Paused resolution is 1/2 and playback is 1/4, I also tried to change the paused res to 1/4 also, but it didn't help.
Every time I relaunch Premiere Pro it works again for a short time and the problem comes back again.
If I render the video (press enter), then it works for the rendered part.
It didn't happen on the previous version I used (CC 7.0.0).
I use iMac 27" mid 2011 with Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.3
Specs:
The project is on my "Book Thunderbolt Duo" - thunderbolt 4tb external hard drive.
I use mp4 H.264 full hd 60 and 50fps footage (one video 50, and the other is 60).
The render is on the only option I have which is "Mercury Playback Engine (Software Only)".

When I'm editing in PPRO CC 2014.2 I have noticed now that each time I set a IN AND OUT MARKERS either in the SOURCE WINDOW or do a insert clip onto the SEQUENCE PANE, all the thumbnails of each clip in the Project window and on the sequence
completely go blank to regenerate or refresh the image of the thumbnail per each clip.
I have to wait until the regeneration is done before I can continue.
I have the Latest desktop MacPro 3.5 GHz 6-Core INtel Xeon with 32 gigs of ram.
I am experiencing intermittent timeline scrolling. This happens when I move my mouse to the 2nd monitor or just to the preview monitor on the main screen.
I thought it was my trackpad, but the scrolling continued with the trackpad shut off.
It was suggested that it was the second monitor. Shutting that off or disconnecting it, did not stop the scrolling.
It is driving me nuts... especially with a client sitting over my shoulder.
Please come up with a fix quickly

Ok, so this is a "feature" that's really bugging me and I cannot figure out how to turn it off. Is there any way I can prevent the timeline from auto scroll when my house moves towards or past it's edge? I have a dual monitor setup, with my timeline on the left monitor and my source footage on my right. Every time I move my mouse from the timeline (left) to select footage or settings (right) the timeline starts scrolling. It wills scroll all the way to the end of the extra 10 minutes that Adobe forcefully adds to the timeline - is another ridiculously dumb thing that we cannot change, but that's another post. This is unbelievably frustrating, and the very opposite of a time saving feature. Any help will be much appreciated.

I thought i'd try out the new premiere
although it all started off well I some how in saving have lost the multicam option
it was fine but as I am sure most of us do we save backups then edit away. Now when I fire up my latest edited one, I can't seem to get the multicam to work as it should.
as you see form the image the option is missing, it is however every where else, what did I uncheck or miss?
as I say it work ok on previous files, just of course they have less days of editing on them

I am doing a project in Premiere Pro CC but need to dynamic link to After Effects CC. The "replace with After Effects Composition" button is greyed out and I can't understand why, both are installed!
I still have Premiere Pro CS6 and AE CS6 installed, because they contain plug-ins I use regularly, could this be causing an issue? I can't think why it would.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully someone can help, I'm ripping my hair out here.
I've made a video in Premier Pro CC, and edited some of the audio in Audition.
When I play the video back, some of the sound (people speaking) doesn't play. But i can still hear the background music.
Works:
Laptop's built-in speakers
Any PC using headphones
Any PC using external speakers
Doesn't work
Desktop built-in sound card
Large professional sound system.
Hopefully that makes enough sense for someone to help! Please let me know if I need to clarify anything.

I work from two locations on two different computers. Both Windows 8.1 OS. 32gb RAM. 256 SSD. 2x 4tb HDD. Geforce Graphics cards. For a long while I could move projects from the one location to the other with it opening and working perfectly. But recently that has not been the case. If I open a project on Computer A it works fine. When I take my drive and open the project on Computer B it crashes on opening of the project (it opens up, asks me to link all the footage, and then after linking all of it (or just saying offline all), it crashes and quits Premiere. The same is true for when I edit on Computer B and then take the project to Computer A. If Premiere crashes I can import the sequence I want into a new project and that all works perfectly except for the fact that it takes me 30min everytime and that importing from project to project messes up the bins. Could someone pleae help!
