Applying morph cut transition, getting an error

$

I am applying a morph cut transition and I got the error "failure, can't apply accross a single clip" after I rendered the finished clip. It flashes across the scene twice, then the rest of the clip runs. The sequence is synced, but there is a noise that wasn't in the original production clip.  One scene has a ventilation system running in the background, so there is a machine hum, but there's now a third unexpected noise. any ideas?

I have just had a new display panel fitted to my 27" iMAC by Apple. When I try to run Premiere Pro I get the following error message.

"Adobe Premiere Pro Startup Error

Adobe Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules.

Please update your video display drivers and start again."

Can anyone please tell me where to find the drivers for my iMAC?

Hello Guys,
I have a problem with the PiP function in Adobe Premier Pro.
I have a picture (1280x720) and a black field in this picture (720x480). Also I have a video in the size 720x480. I want that the video fit in the field, but every time it is to big or to small.
Maybe you guys could help me...

2015 update loud crackling audio

$

Ever since I've updated to the new version I've encountered errors. These range from dropped audio, freezing etc. The biggest problem by far is that clips on the timeline that played fine all of a sudden will randomly begin to crackle and fuzz to the point you can barely hear the audio and you want to scream! The only fix I've found is to re-select the audio from the clip and replace it. This is however a massive problem and I cannot keep doing this. How can I fix this?

Space bar and play do nothing, except the play changes to a square for stop so the program thinks it's playing but it doesn't play. I can't EDIT when it doesn't allow me to play my timeline. PLEASE help me. I'm a professional editor and I have tried troubleshooting this (No, Audio Hardware changes to default did not correct the problem - or rather it did the first time I had this issue and now no matter what I do it doesn't work)

Why and how can I solve this? Please help.

After I installed CC 2015 I was no longer able to find CS6. The icon was gone and I can't find any trace of the program even though it say it was updated last week. I have one client that still want an FLV file no longer supported by PP CC.

Any Ideas how I can get PP CS6 back?

Hello!

Premier Pro runs system out of application memory (CC 2014 & CC 2015 on OS X)

As I edited about a 20 minute clip of video, the memory consumption of Premiere Pro CC 2014 on my MacBook Pro (Core i7, 16GB memory, 500GB SSD with 150GB free, Yosemite) grew and grew. Now, when I open the project, Premiere Pro immediate consumes 30GB of memory! Which means that opening my project now takes about 15 minutes (the blank Premiere application appears in about 2 minutes, but the panels do not complete their slow fill-in for another 13 minutes - all the while the cursor is spinning, not allowing me to select anything, and activity Monty tells me that Premiere is unresponsive). Worse still, when I try to export my project, memory usage grows above 60GB, until my system gives up and reports "Your System has run out of application memory". Keep in mind that I been careful to reboot the system, reset PRAM, and run nothing significant except Premiere, Activity Monitor and Finder. I have Optimized for Memory in preferences, and even tried Limiting Memory usage to 8GB (even though this refers to RAM, not VM).

I monitor Premiere steadily gobbling up resources as VM usage and Memory Pressure increase. I understand that the proximal cause of the error message is probably an excessive number of page faults triggered by the massive memory hogging by Premiere. However, the root cause is Premiere using so much memory.

My 1920x1080 project timeline and bin contain .MTS files (from AVCHD footage), .mpg files (converted via ffmpeg from .TOD files), One EPS graphic, Five .PNG graphics from PowerPoint, One Title, and less than 10 audio files extracted for editing in Audition.

When the export begins, Premiere estimates about 1 hour to encode my timeline. After about 35 minutes, Premier has used up over 60GB of VM which causes Yosemite to report an error, and pause the application.

One solution I suppose is to tell Premier to stop buffering so much content. I have a fast SSD with over 100GB remaining at the time of error, and I can live with the export taking an hour longer if some artifacts are left on disk.

Is there a way to tell Premiere to load less into Virtual Memory?

Why does my film look bad on a projector?

$

A couple of nights ago I was lucky enough to have one of my films show at the New Zealand Mountain Film Festival, but to my horror, the video looked terrible.  The darks and shadows were severely crushed and the colours were very over saturated compared to the other films showing that night.  A couple of the films were of a very high caliber, having been shot on Reds, Sony FS700's and the like, but some did appear to have been shot on DSLR as mine was.  There was one film which did appear to be exhibiting a similar problem to mine.

My monitor has not been calibrated, but it is a Dell Ultrasharp U1424H, so out the box it shouldn't be way off the mark, and certainly looks reasonable to my fairly experienced eye.  I do understand the importance of having a calibrated monitor, and intend to invest in the equipment soon, however, if I search the internet for the other films which were shown on that fateful night and watch them on my screen at home alongside my own film, there is not such a discernible difference.

Is there some way of grading or rendering out for viewing on a projector?  Does it have something to do with the quality of my screen at home, which is clearly superior to the projector that was used, and compensating for this, or at least being aware of the effect that the difference will have when grade?

Not sure if I am allowed to here, but I can post a link the the film on Vimeo.  It is also on my Behance.

Choppy playback in CC, suddenly

Yes, yet another mysterious choppy, jerky playback out-of-the-blue issue.

Premiere Pro CC 7.01, Mac, was working relatively fine for a few weeks on a couple projects. Now, on new project, exact same setup and media as before, I get playback that is fine, then after a few moments or a minute, gets choppy, as my CPU becomes increasingly pegged, as if GPU acceleration becomes disabled with time. Cannot edit when it is like that. I give it a rest for a few moments, can play ok for a minute, then CPU and choppiness creaps up again.

Premiere Pro CC 7.0.1

Mac OSx 10.8.2

Nikon D800 and D7000 .mov files, 1920-x1080 23.976fps, High Quality

Sequence: DSLR 1920x1080x23.976fps

Project: Mercury OpenCL GPU (via AMD Radeon 6770m in Macbook Pro.) No change if switch to Software Only.

Premier Pref/Memory: either Optimize for Performance or Memory, and restart. No effect.

Playback Resolution: 1/2. Always worked before.

No other software running. (Time Machine enabled, not backing up. Crashplan paused or service unloaded did not help.)

When CPU pegs, it is kernal_task and Premiere at top of All Processes/%CPU table in Activity Monitor.

Macbook Pro, late 2011, quad-core 2.5 GHz i7, 16GB memory. Apogee Duet2 audio output.

Source files and cache files and preview files on Pegaus Raid on Thunderbolt. NEC monitor on Thunderbolt. Premiere on internal drive.

No complex layers, effects. Just straight video and 2-4 tracks of audio. So little to no Previews rendered.  Timeline bar is yellow, which always played fine (via OpenCL.) Rendering Previews of a few minute section does not help.

Happens whether doing multicam sequence or simple cuts.

Cleaned media cache (Premiere/Prefs/Media/clean cache.) No Previews to clean out.

Graphics Switching disabled, so always on Radeon.

Only Changes since it was working -

CC app update (i.e. the menu bar thing, but I usually Quit that anyway.)

Indesign CC, Extension Manager update (but never launched.)

More memory allocated to Crashplan (but if I pause or unload that service no effect. And memory does not seem to be an issue looking at Activity Monitor.)

Checked Files on and rebuilt Thunderbolt raid directory (with DiskWarrior, just as general maintenance.)

Apple Timecapsule firmware updated to 7.6.4.

Maybe Java updated to v7 update 25 during that time.

Thanks,

Vincent

Premiere Pro CC memory leaking out it's ears...

Just upgraded to CC from CS6. CS6 always behaved like a gent, but CC is acting very funny. I have Memory Clean installed on my computer (Mac Pro 2008 or 2009... 8 core 2.8ghz, 16gb 800mhz DDR2 FB DIMM, 2x NVIDIA Quadro 4000) and as I use premiere, I notce the RAM slowly ticking down, well past the minimum for other applications set in my prefs, and eventually hitting about 128mb of memory. At that point, Premiere becomes just about unusable, and I need to clean my memory to free it all back up.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Happened to anyone else? I've seen one or two similar posts, but not the exact same thing.

Premiere Pro CC 2015 loses sync

$

Hi Everyone,

I updates my Premiere from CC 2014 to 2015 and encountered with a very strange problem.

Most of the files I import are working without any issue but files I encoded before loses sync after a while.

These file are all h.264 with bitrate of 15Mbit.

It's important to say that the 2014 CC has no problem with reading these files and it happens only in the last version.

I checked this problem in 3 of my workstations and they all had the same problem.

I had one of Adobe's agent on my phone and then inside my computer by remote and she did not figured it out.

I had to downgrade all the systems due to that reason.

Any ideas?
