Premiere Pro (CS6) - Windows 8 - [..\...Src\Win\Winfile.cpp-814] error

Hello         

 

Im currently having some issues with Premiero Pro (via creative suite 6) on a Windows 8 64 bit machine after reinstalling due to an error resulting in the encoding sequence crashing/hanging and remaining on 0% indefinitly

 

 

Video and audio were both taken via the same machine and are both in .MP4 format. The project will render correctly however will not export

 

Upon selection of export with match sequence settings enabled I receive the error box saying:

 

Premiere Pro Debug Event

Premiere Pro has encountered an error.

[..\...Src\Win\Winfile.cpp-814]

 

Upon closing the error the screen returns back to the work space. with an error box saying:Error compiling movie - unknown error. After this it again shows the infinite encoding screen.

 


I have tried uninstalling the programme and running any updates etc however I am unable to get it to work.

 

Would really appreciate an answer to this.Uninstalling and reinstalling is in itself a pain.

Premiere CC playback busted.

So, yeah, I downloaded CC to my shiny massive and expensive iMac and everything is staring at me all bright eyed and bushy tailed, showing me content shot with the Nikon D7000, and the most basic expectation won't work - no playback. I can scrub through it at a zillion frames a second no problem, but it won't play when I tenderly tickle the space bar. Photoshop, Bridge, Illustrator, Lightroom, all well-served soldiers in my digital battles.

 

I thought, wow, they all must be a bad files. So I tried iMovie. You have any idea how much I hate iMovie? But it works. Works great, just like FCP used to.

 

I've dug through the forums and seen the comments and I don't see anything resembling a mea culpa, which is what I think we're due, from Adobe.

 

Yes my system is up to par with your requirements. Yes I rendered a file to see if that would work. Yes I shut down every other program begging my machine's attention.

 

Please tell me there's a simple Adobe setting I need entertain to get your tool to deliver it's most primary function. Play.

CC 2014 won't import Panasonic AF100 *.mts (avchd)

Premiere Pro CC 2014 won't import Panasonic AF100 *.mts (avchd) files (wrong compression type). Previous version of CC has NO problem importing them WHATSOEVER. Paid CC Windows 7 x64. What's the deal? Thank goodness I didn't delete the previous version!!! Tried out of Explorer on Windows 7 AND from media browser from within CC 2014 - either way it won't import!

New version of premiere won't play any footage

Hi,

 

Any project I open under "recent projects" opens and functions as normal. However when I open a project that doesn't come under recent projects it says it's saved in an old version of premiere and will have to convert. I've had this before, but usually without any issues. Now they open in what seems to be a new version of premiere, but nothing will play, not the timeline, not the footage from the bins, nothing happens. Then it freezes and I have to force quit. I was online to support the other day, but was told to contact later as it was a technical issue. Have only had the time to contact them now and even though the email says they're available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day the website says Sunday between 6 and 7?! Has anyone encountered this issue before? Or am I doing something wrong in regards to contacting support?

Premiere CC running very slow since installing Yosemite

It takes over 2 minutes to open a file that took only 15 seconds on Mavericks. Playback is very choppy now. And rendering a file seems to take 5 times as long as before. Any ideas what's going on? I'm running Yosemite on a MacPro (early 2008) 2 x 3.2 GHz  Quad Core with 22 GB of RAM. System is running off of a SSD drive (with over 100GB of free space and I'm using an ATI Radeon HD 5770 with Open GL running.

Bad Playback and rendering times with Red Rocket after update

Hi,

 

in Adobe CC everything worked really good. I even had faster render times than realtime, but since CC2014 everything keeps getting worse.

I dont know what you guy do, but it seems, that the Rocket doesnt work when CUDA is activated, but works when deactivated.

I've a NVIDIA 670GTX with 4GB RAM.

 

I was editing really fast with CC but now I've to create Proxies...its really that bad.

Even with 1/8 resolution it doesnt play smooth.

We have even a Red Rocket-X, but then the programm crashes after 10-15 minutes.

This is really horrible.

Stupid me I started some projects in CC2014 instead of CC, cause I dont have the time to organize all the projects again.

To bad the projects are not backward compatible.

Adobe Premiere CC Crashes When Selecting Multiple Clips

This project was already derailed by multicam, now that I've got my assembly edit ready to go, I've discovered a new show-stopper:  Premiere Pro CC crashes when I select multiple clips on the timeline.  I can't select more than 3 clips at a time, or the entire program comes crashing to it's knees.  Anyone else experiencing something like this?  Can anyone else reproduce this behavior?

Anyone get this when opening projects on other systems

Have a project running on my mac pro (system A)... put everything on an external drive... open it on another identical system (system B), and get this:

It does not matter which way I go... (A to B or B to A) every time I bring the project to another system I always get this issue.

The only time it opens ok is when the project relinks media from the system the project was saved on.

The best workaround is to start a new project and drag the project I want to open into it.

Missing Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration after computer crash. How can I get it back

Hi, I'm missing Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration after computer crash. How can I get it back?  I had my husband update my graphic driver.  How what do I do?  When I check the project settings > general, it still has the field of Mercuy Playback software only grayed out.

I posted the following over at Creative Cow with no luck... hopefully I can get answers here ...

 

I am on a MAC - I joined the Adobe bandwagon during the great FCP migration of 2011 ... So far it's been great but...

 

Both Premiere CC AND After Effects CC are not recognizing Pro Res ...heck it doesn't seem like they are recognizing QUICKTIME in general (both progams are rejecting a .MOV I have with the animation codec) ...

 

When I try and open up a CS6 sequence in CC I get a message saying "The preset used by one or more of the sequences in this project requires third party components that could not be located." When you click ok just to get the project open, the media is offline.

 

When I try and IMPORT a .MOV into Premiere CC I get "The importer reported a generic error."

 

When I try and IMPORT a .MOV into AE cc I get "Cannot be imported- this 'MooV' file is damaged or unsupported.

 

When I try a test render out of AE cc the default Format is Quicktime, but when you go to the Video Output Format Options the Video Codec has the number "0" instead of a list of codecs .... and when you click on the "0" it changes to "-1". Seriously there are NO codecs listed in the Options - No ProRes, No Animation, just the number zero.

 

Media Encoder obviously is essentially the same story.

 

This seems to be a Quicktime thing ... not JUST a ProRes thing.

 

 

CS6 has no problems working with my Mac and QT/ProRes ... so I know it's not my machine...

 

I really don't feel like calling India today to process a refund, but if I can't get this working on my Mac I dont need to pay for Adobe CC.

Writing & Searching Metadata

I've ingested a large batch of h.264's using Prelude (without transcoding) and I've written lots of metadata into the 'Dynamic Media' and 'Script' schemas.

I'm now using the files in Premiere and I'm not able to search for some keywords that I know have been assigned.

I'm also unable to write any metadata at all to P2, .MXF files in Prelude.

 

I was able to write metadata after I'd tried transcoding a couple of MXF's but I'd rather not have to do that.

 

Any ideas?

tif export quality loss

hi,

 

i exported a tif sequence from a mp4 in premiere (cs6) to do some compositing on it. the exported images look the same but when doing some color correction on it the tif sequence reveals that it's in lower quality.

the left side is the tif export with significant less detail.

i also tried ae with color management but i always had the same problem.

 

rendering with 'use max depth' and 'use max quality' did not solve the problem.

 

did i miss something or is premiere processing some colors wrong internally?

 

(as a sidenote, quicktime player, nuke, vegas12 worked just fine)

Okay, So I exported a video and i Used the wrong type of file. & i went back and tried to export it again to a different file type and it wont let me. Can someone help?

I see from other posts that XAVC codec is supported by Premiere Pro CC. Does this mean that my version of CS6, bought last month, will not see XAVC and never will?

Premiere Pro CC - Warp stabiliser issues

Hi,

 

Hopefully someone can help me out.

In Premiere CC whenever I apply warp stabaliser to a clip when It's finished stabalising it puts the clip in the top left corner. the clips moves around as if its being stabalised.

 

Any ideas?

Premiere Pro CC 2014 n’arrête pas de planter

Bonjour,

 

De nombreuses discutions sont lancées sur ce sujet, mais je n'y ai pas trouvé ma réponse.

 

J'ai également un problème avec Premiere Pro CC 2014.1

J'ai commencé par installer le logiciel sur l'ordinateur en question, celui-ci a fonctionné 1 mois. J'ai créé des projets etc.

Du jour au lendemain, le logiciel ne se lançait plus et 2 message d'erreur apparaissent :

- Adobre premiere pro cc 2014.1 a cessé de fonctionner

- Adobe QT32 Server CC 2014.1 a cessé de fonctionner

 

Concernant la machine, je suis sous win 7 64 bit.

L'ensemble du matériel requis est OK puisque le logiciel fonctionnait sur l'ordinateur.

Au cas où :

- Carte graphique NVIDIA Quadro K2000

- Processeur Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1240 v3 @3.40GHz

 

J'ai contacté le support d'Adobe à de nombreuses reprises, mais rien n'y fait. Ils me disent que c'est la carte graphique qui n'est pas suffisamment bonne, or le logiciel a fonctionné, ce n'est pas comme si il ne s'était jamais ouvert.

clips will play in preview but can't be added to sequence/timeline

HI all,

 

First time posting so forgive me if this has been asked before or if I'm doing something really stupid.

 

I am assembling a short video for the web which consists of a sequence which has been professionally recorded, and I'm cutting in some short clips and stills over it.

 

This is all going well, until I have tried to import some short clips which have been shot on an iphone 6.

 

I've managed to get them into the PC via icloud, and the clips will play in windows media player - I can import them into Premiere and they play in the preview player perfectly.

 

However, when I try and drag them onto the timeline I get a 'no-entry' symbol and it refuses to add the clip to the timeline.

 

I've imported other clips from other sources, and some wouldn't import until I converted them to .mp4 using prism video file convertor. Those now play in the preview window and I can add them to the timeline without any issues, but the iphone ones just won't have it. I've tried converting the iphone clips with various different settings but still no joy...

 

I can understand that Premiere might not be able to read/import a file, but I can't get my head around the fact it would play in the preview window, but not play in the timeline....

 

Anybody help please?

Bad performance with Premiere CC...

Computer specs:

 

CPU: i7 3820

Memory: Corsair 16 GB

GPU: Gigabyte Windforce 780ti

SSD and HDD with Adobe installed on SSD

 

Anyways, I was using CS6 prior to upgrading to CC and at the time, I had a GTX 670 GPU installed. I then upgraded my Adobe to CC and GPU to a 780ti and noticed that the interface with Premiere is really choppy. When I'm maximizing and minimizing the timeline it looks like my computer is struggling to do so. If I'm dragging files onto my timeline from folders, it's also really choppy. I opened my Task Manager and nothing is hogging my resources. I also have the Mercury Playback Engine enabled. I'm only editing 1080p footage and don't know why there's a performance issue when there shouldn't be.

 

Any ideas?
