Premiere Pro CC Audio Cuts Out

Okay,

 

So I've switched to the new Premiere Pro CC and now my audio drops out during playback. Doesn't matter if it's an aiff, mp3, whatever. I never had this problem with Premiere Pro CS6. All files are saved to an XServe Network on OS 10.8.4. I'll have to remain using Premiere CS6 for the time being.

 

Also, just tested this out. I had a TIFF sequence playing with this audio. It did NOT like that. I can play the audio by itself just fine. So it seems to be a problem with playing the video file WITH the audio.

Cineform Export Crash 8.1

Hello,

 

Today I ran into an error when trying to export a Cineform .mov. I've tried many different options with the cineform codec but no matter what I do it crashes both Premiere 8.1 and AME 8.1. Do I have to install the cineform codec? I have a shoot coming up and I want to use Cineform as an intermediate format.

Premiere Pro Cc 2014 Buggy!

Hello,

 

the new Premiere update is buggy!

 

I get audio dropouts after export. It's ammost impossible to export an errorfree clip.

 

The project is lagging. Meaning, the previous Cc version was faster in performance with many effects

like Filmconvert for example. Generally the performance seems compromised.

 

Some clips in the timeline get omited while playback. This sometimes causes freezes of the timeline which leads me to restart the programm.

 

The programm just crashes often.

 

These are too many bugs for professional work. Especially when you have deadlines.

I Am on a MacBookPro retina late 2013. The previous version runs fine.

 

Please Adobe get to it! A friend of mine on Windows has bugs too!

Video cropped with track matte changing size on export?

Hi there!   I have a layered video with a background image for sidebars.   I used a white square as a track matte to crop out some of the central video.

 

Now, the odd thing is that the footage is cropped more heavily in the exported file than it is in my premiere previews.

Because it's showing up perfectly fine in the previews, I'm finding it very difficult to troubleshoot the problem through trial and error.   What could be causing this discrepancy between previews and my exported footage?

 

Edit:  Actually, now that I'm looking at them next to each other, the colors are kind of messed up too.  Is that related?

In Adobe Premiere PRO trial version when I am exporting a Time Lapse video in .AVI format, it stops working and gives an unknown error. While it was doing OK before. I downloaded trial version about a week ago. What is that I am not doing right?

Ongoing project but suddenly "Unsupported format or damaged file" on my .mps files

I have been working on my present project for over a year, now suddenly all my .mps files are "Red screened", and re-linking them gives me "Unsupported format or damaged file". They open OK in Windows Media Player, so...what is happening?

Red / MXF Read

I'm editing 40 episodes of a show at a great company that just switched over to Premiere, and every project we've worked on since their switchover from FCP to Premiere has been plagued with massive C300 MXF Read & Decode errors in the timeline.  We've tried on two of the company's brand new Mac Pro's, my Macbook Pro, and now my home 2010 12-Core Mac Pro, and the issues persist in each machine, in each project, with each episode in its own project.

 

I'm in the middle, now, of trying a work-around; transcoding all the MXFs to ProRes files with externally-recorded sound, synced in the timeline with a starting clapper point–––  and the ProRes files are going MASSIVELY out of sync during playback, even when those sections are fully rendered.  Stepping through frame by frame, the sync is actually accurate, but trying to edit, with the sound going incredibly out of sync, is near impossible.  JUST as impossible as the entire screen turning red or freezing for a dozen seconds around critical edit points, which is what we were facing using the C300 MXFs.

 

Any help here?

 

The footage is native in my 12-Core Mac Pro, running 10.9.5, with 64GB of RAM; Premiere Pro CC 8.1 Caravan.

Hello everybody,

 

I just ran into this extremely annoying problem:

 

Premiere Pro CS6 cannot load my project anymore. It gives the following error message:

Premiere  Pro has encountered an error.

f:\mightysilt_win64\shared\adobe\mediacore\mediafoundation\api\inc\keyframe

My autosave files all refuse to open giving another error
..\..\src\TickTime.cpp-364

 

When i press continue it says the project might be damaged or contain outdated elements.
I do not know what that means...

I do not know what i did last before the problem started, except for adding some layers (lightstreaks) rendering the file and then stopping that thinking "I'll do it later"

What a mistake. The projectfile didn't open anymore when i got home. All my autosaves now give similar errors.

 

I got warpstabilizer on some clips but would gladly give that up if there was a way to open these files. I cannot import them to a new project. Essentially the files refuse to open in any possible way.

Title card limitations in Premiere Pro TRIAL?

Hi everyone,

I'm working with the trial version of Adobe CC (using Premiere Pro) to edit together a video for a prospective employer - as part of the application process, we were given some raw footage to get a sense of our skills.

Anyway, I'm wondering if there are limits to the number of title cards you can use in the trial version? All of the sudden, when I try to duplicate a card, I can't alter the new one. Nor can I create a new one that will reflect any input. Meaning, I can pull up the "edit" window for these cards, but that's the only place to see the changes. I looked, and I've used 10 cards so far, which made me wonder about a limit - since it's a nice round number.

Any help would appreciated, thanks.

New to premier - import question

Avid editor, decided to switch to premier for a bit to see how I like it. Off topic, but if you could provide a resource that can explain premier in depth, I'd love it. Now, on to the question.

 

Import speeds seem too good to be true. It took me 30 seconds to import 20 gigs of footage. Is this premiers way of 'AMA linking' from avid? What doe it mean when it's 'conforming'? One thing that's annoying me is when I open my bins, my files take forever to lead the thumbnail... any reason for this?

Exporting Issue: One large frame sized project, needs to be split and exported in 3 separate files

Hello Awesome people, help me out here Please!

I have a 4480(W) 1260 (H) frame sized project which needs to be exported in 3 separate files, due to the large screen size at the venue.

how to split one project into 3 so that I can get 2 x 1920 (W) and 1 x 640 (W), and height for all three would be 1260 (H)??

Surround sound center channel play on the center channel and the left channel

Premiere Pro CC 8.1.0 (just updated it today) In a 5.1 sequence with a single file on the audio track, with the puck in the center notch. The 5.1 meter shows audio playing in the center channel AND the left channel. When the puck is in any of the other 4 notches the meter shows sound in that channel only. I'm using the on board Realtek HD sound card with ASIO4ALL drivers. I'm not sure if it was happening b4 the update or not. However I just recreated the identical sequence in PPCS6 and the problem is not there. it plays through the center channel only. Any Ideas Please?

how I solved my "The project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence type"

The correct preview rendering xml for my sequence was this:

 

<MZ.Sequence.PreviewRenderingPresetCodec>1634755432</MZ.Sequence.PreviewRenderingPresetCod e>

<MZ.Sequence.PreviewRenderingPresetPath>EncoderPresets/SequencePreview/795454d9-d3c2-429d- 9474-923ab13b7018/QuickTime.epr</MZ.Sequence.PreviewRenderingPresetPath>

 

btw, I got this xml sequence by starting a new project. creating a sequence. then I dropped my 4k prores hq footage onto the sequence. adobe said the sequence info didn't match and would I like to make it match. I said yes. Then I opened the project file in textwrangler.

 

for some reason, each time I merged a clip with it's external sound file the new xml sequences would become this

 

<MZ.Sequence.PreviewRenderingPresetCodec>0</MZ.Sequence.PreviewRenderingPresetCodec>

                <MZ.Sequence.PreviewRenderingPresetPath>EncoderPresets/SequencePreview/795454d9-d3c2-429d -9474-923ab13b7018/I-Frame Only MPEG.epr</MZ.Sequence.PreviewRenderingPresetPath>

 

and then when I would close the project and reopen it I would get the no sequence preview preset file error.

 

so I had to replace these xml lines above with the correct sequence using textwrangler and all was good again.

"Error compiling movie. Unknown Error." OR program crash when rendering

When rendering in Premiere Pro CC I get the messge "Error compiling movie. Unknown Error." OR the program crashes.

 

-Adobe Premiere Pro CC V 7.0.0 (342)

-ASUS Z87-A, Intel Core i7 4 core, 16gb RAM

-450gb+ disc space

-Also installed: After Effects, Adobe Media Encoder

-All recent updates installed

-Windows7 64bit

-I am using all programs through Creative Cloud

-Footage is AVCHD 720p but doesn't work with .mts or .mp4 files

-I am trying to render speed and simple cross dissolves. Neither are working

-This has happened before on a friend's desktop. I was using his machine to edit on while I was in the process of building mine. He got the same error when I was trying to export. I restarted and the issue was fine. Restarting on my machine has not solved the issue. This leads me to think it is a bug in the program?

-I have been running After Effects and it has worked flawlessly.

Premiere loading media.... takes awhile.

I have an i7 3770k CPU, 16gb RAM, and a local 11tb RAID 0 drive.

 

I'm editing a feature film shot on a Red Epic.

 

It doesn't seem that Premiere can handle the volume of Red media in our project.  Everytime I load the project, it has to 'load' all of the media... about 8000 files right now.  This takes about 1 to 3 minutes to take place.  Until this loading occurs, Premiere is unusable.

 

A few questions:

1) Is Premiere intended to edit large projects, or must I break up this project into smaller projects?

2) Why does 'loading' the project media take so long?  I doubt that using proxies for my Red media would improve this 'loading' process.

3) Why can't Premiere keep a database of my files so that it doesn't have to poll them all every time I load my project?

So I upgraded to the latest update of Premiere (with the violently different looking GUI), after of course doing my usual dance of having to uninstall CC, run CC Cleaner, rename my OOBE folders and reinstall CC (Really Adobe? We're going on 2 years and I still have to do this every time CC Desktop updates? Really?) and suddenly I am crawling editing the same footage I was working on yesterday with no issues.

 

Has anyone else noticed a performance decrease? Basically i will click on a sequence tab other than the one i already have opened and it will sit and spin until I End Task on Premiere.

 

The only other thing I can add is I recently arranged my raw clips in a fairly deep folder structure >> Movie/Scene/Shot/Take/raw Clip >> not sure if this is hindering Premiers ability to find the clips or not.

 

One other strange, probably unrelated, thing I have noticed (even pre-update) is that I will have a row of sequence tabs open (sequences that actually feed into a subsequent sequence) - in a very specific order - and no matter how many times I save the project, when i reopen it half the tabs are gone and the remaining ones are out of order. Anyone else dealing with that anomaly?

 

I would list my system but I'm not sure it applies since my key point is things were moving along fine just before I updated this morning.

 

Just looking for some general insight.

[Mac] Frozen video playback, audio still playing?

Hi everyone!

Premiere has been driving me nuts with this. I hit the play button on a 1080p mp4 file, and the video freezes on one image, and the audio just keeps playing while the image is stuck. Aaaaaaargh. I've closed and reopened Premiere, even reinstalled it, no luck. 

My system stats (I'd be happy to provide more if needed. I'll come back later with screenshots, as I've just restarted the project and it's now saying Media Pending.)

OS X 10.9.5

Processor: 1.4 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory: 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Startup Disk: Macintosh HD

Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB

I have two videos in the project, both 1080p. The smaller one works perfectly (it's about longer than 3 minutes, I think?) and it's the big one (over 2 hours 40 minutes) that's acting up.
