I am attempting to load a friend's film that was edited on FCPX into PP for color correction/mixing.
I used XtoCC to translate the XML which seemed to work fine. But the video from FCPX library won't
play in sync. The audio is ok but the video is not close. The format from FCPX has a .mov extension
and is H.264, which play fine in QT. The original footage is AVCHD.
Any thoughts?

I have a series of graphics in a timeline that black out the video.
Sometimes I can see it that way in the program window, sometimes I don't see it until I've exported the video.
It's only certain times in the timeline as these graphics are used twice. The first instance keeps the video. The second blacks it out.
The video is a nested sequence.
Using CC2017.0.2 on Mac OSX 10.11.6
In Premiere Pro 2015/2015.3 the option to save the default timecode used in all future sequences was found by clicking the menu button in the sequence's tab and selecting Start Time, then entering a timecode and checking "Set as default for future sequences".
In PP 2017 this is no longer the case. When you select Start Time the checkbox now says "Set by first clip".
How do I set the default timecode used for all future sequences now? This is vital for me as I work in a commercial broadcast environment and all of our sequences must start at 00:59:53:00 to ensure we use a 5 second slate, two beep, and picture start at 1:00:00:00. This is a chore to do manually and there does not seem to be a way for me to set the default timecode for all sequences now. Any help is appreciated.
Audio from source panel will not insert, overwrite, anything into timeline. This is whether I am trying to move an audio only file or whether I am trying to move a section of video and audio. In that case, the video only moves, but the audio does not come along.
I'm no expert in video, but I've used Premiere at a few jobs and never had an issue. However, at my new job my Premiere Pro will not playback video at all. I've tried everything I can think of, including uninstalling and reinstalling the program. It's pretty hard to edit a video if you can't see it. Anybody else had this issue and know of a solution?
So I have :30 spot I cut in Premiere that has 2 or 3 dead pixels in all the clips ( 10 or 11) . They also need video noise reduction that I was going to use the Neat Video plug-in for. I've read that its better to use Neat Video in Premiere cause the rendering is faster. But there is no pixel remover in Premiere. What would be the best dynamic link workflow? Or so I try and garbage matte the pixels in Premiere?
I shared my Project with the lab that is digitally mastering my film on Google Drive. They are getting a message saying Premiere is unable to open the project as it was created on a later version than what they have. I started a subscription to Premiere Pro CC in November 2016 and they are running Premiere Pro CC 2017 11.0.2 on their system. I created the project on my PC and they have a Mac. Their version appears to be a later one than mine but the message seems to state that they are running a version that is earlier than mine. That said, I assume my version is continually updating to whatever the most current release is. Is it possible I have a later release than what they have? Is it possible it's a Mac vs PC problem? Any thoughts appreciated.

My work was begun to export yesterday, by now 24hours passed by , the progress have been stayed still at 5% , and the source disk is being accessed at 100% constantly .
Why is that ?
Ps. I have export the same work 14 times before , nothing like that happened .
If I render within the Premiere CC 2015 app by selecting "export" then the coloring I've done renders fine. (Coloring being done using the new lumetri color panel)
However, if I send it to AME CC 2015 the coloring effects don't show up and it renders raw footage. What am I doing wrong here?
FCP never had this problem. Why does Premiere crash a lot with photo rich projects? Please fix.

Hi, I just bought Premiere Pro so i am a bit new to it. I have a macbook air 8gb RAM.
When I import a timelapse i have made into premiere pro i will not play fluently. Why does dit happen? I do import and then image sequence without a problem then it imports my timelapse which is about 7s but then i will not play in a smoothly way.
Do i do something wrong?

I was trying to make a youtube video after getting the PS4 for my kids.
I used a Panasonic Lumix G-7 to record my kids playing the PS4. The PS4 is recording the gameplay itself. When I import all videos recorded from the camera and PS4 into Premiere Pro the video from PS4 is faster than the videos from the camera, just by a fraction. The difference is small, but when you have a video of 40 minutes, after awhile you can clearly hear the Audio from the PS4 and the Audio from the camera is like 2-3 seconds away.
Facts:
1) The audio from the camera and PS4 are both ok, not out of sync.
2) Problem is with one of the video being a fraction of a second faster than the other thus doesn't matter how i try to match the 2 videos, if the video is long, one will be faster than another
Any1 have the solution for this issue? Thanks!
PS. In case any1 is interested to know. My Lumix G-7 was tweaked using the following method, thats how I record pass 30 minutes.

How can it be that I`ve imported 100 .mov clips shot with Arri Alexa at 2K and put them into a sequence and after saving the project file has 45MB?
And I assume because of this the saving process takes forever (almost 10 seconds each time) even though I use an SSD.
Also, are there any optimizations I need to tweak within settings to have a more robust and responsive overall experience while editing in Premiere?

I have my date created that derives from the .mov files - but i am unable to sort via the column heading even though i have it displayed - i can sort all the other columns from the premiere metadata but headings within the basic dont seem to be able to be sorted by, in CS6 it worked, is this a CC bug?

Hi everyone,
When importing footage from the Canon XF105 I usually first copy the CF card labeled "CONTENTS" onto my media hard drive and then I use the media browser to import the clips. In the latest Premiere Pro update I've recently been experimenting with the Ingest feature using "Copy with MD5 verification" settings.
I noticed when I first copy my CF card to the media drive and then use import from media browser, the files show with just the clip name and number (i.e file is named AA0060).
Yet when I use the ingest media setting and import directly from the card, it copies the CONTENTS folder into my Captured Video folder, but on import the files show up with extra numbers and a .mxf extension (i.e. file is named AA006001.mxf).
What is the difference, if any? The files look and edit the same, but just wondering as to why the naming would be different based on the different import methods.
after a bit colour correction my program monitor playback becomes too slow. As a result I can not edit further. Otherwise the software works fine. Before colour correction the playback is normal but after colour grading the problem occurs. I am using the latest version of Premiere Pro CC 2015.0.2 (9.0.2 Version) with my Mac Mini Late 2012 (2.5 Ghz intel core i5) OSX 10.11.1 with 16GB RAM & 500 GB Hard Drive. I am facing this problem for a long time, with the old version as well as with new version. I have tried with my old project & new project but no change. As a result I can only edit & can not colour correct at all. Please give me a solution if possible. Thanks.

I've just started a Premiere Pro trial a few days ago and edited a video which I'm unable to export.
The export fails over and over again for the most part at the same point (34%..) The error code is 1609629690.
I'm using a Surface Pro 3 Core i5 running Windows 10. I tried to export at least 30 times with no success while changing parameters etc. As part of the mitigation I tried the following steps: Restarted my Surface Pro, rendered smaller segments in order to identify segments that may be causing this issue, removed suspicious still photos, tried different output types and tried to export based on previews.
I've worked with other editing software before and never had these problems.
Would appreciate any advice.
Ive been using Premiere for over 10 years. What has Premiere NEVER HAD... decent titles... that ANIMATE.
every iMovie user and FCP user on Mac laughs at us Windows Premiere users because of the lack of this. Come on Adobe what are we paying for... a few dribbled out features that really are neither here nor there. Animated titles is so desperately needed. Why has it taken you 10 years to do nothing in this field.
Please don't direct me to After Effects because lets face it After Effects is an order of magnitude harder to make anything happen in.
What we need is EASY TO USE titles templates...... about 1000 of them please - ranging from romantic to action and drama...
This really is the missing link in Premiere I feel right now. A vast chasm of nothingness. 10 years and still yawn.
