I have an existing project, where all the clips are scaled top fit frame (1080 to 720). I was able to see Effects Controls on each clip and adjust the scale of each clip and see a real time change in the timeline window. Noth these functions no longer happen. I can only get Effects controls after I have selected a different clip that has not been scaled to fit (yet)
What do I do? I need to edit this job
How do you get LoudMax VST to work in Premiere Pro CS5?
I have it downloaded & put into the VSTPlugins file (Computer>Local Disk(C)>Program Files>Adobe>Adobe Premiere Pro CS5>Plug-ins>en_US>VSTPlugins), but when in Premiere Pro it does not appear under Effects with the other audio effects. I also tried to import it but that method does not show any effects at all.

I'm using a canon XF100 and premiere pro CS5 on a Mac Pro.
I would like to know the best workflow so I can get footage from the camera, into premiere so I can start editing.
My attempts so far:
1. Importing the MXF file directly into premiere
Result: When dropping the clip onto the timeline, only the audio appears
2. Using XCam Transfer to import the footage and convert to .mov
Result: The audio and video appear on the time line, but the audio is shorter than the video and skips and jumps
Your advice and patience is greatly appreciated.

So I edited my whole film, and had no flickering problems. I started to add effects to my videos and they started to flicker. I couldn't get rid of the flickering so I took all of the effects off. But parts of my video are still flickering and they don't have effects. Does anyone know what's going on, or what I can do to fix this? My video is very important.
I'm on the latest version of CC (2014) running two subscriptions (one for work and one for freelance projects) both have developed an erratic cursor fault. Both are running Windows 7 (64 Bit) with pretty powerful machines. My process to get the fault is as follows:
Working on a PP timeline - use direct link to speedgrade - work up some clips using the sliders and colour wheels - about 5-10 mins into using speedgrade my cursor begins to act erratically. The cursor will jump off a colour wheel / slider and change values at will. I have to shut down and restart to get the software back again. As this is happening across two machines, completely separate to each other I'm a bit worried this isn't just a one off.
I have reported this to Adobe via the bug page but has anyone else had this issue?

Continually running into this issue when playing back a sequence linked to AE. 
Everything is up to date and have tried re installing.
Glad its just a trial or I would be so annoyed right now. Although I have wasted the best part of 6 hours trying to research answers and get it going, any help (actual fixes) would be appreciated.

For some reason my media browser has stopped working. I store my footage on external drives. Yesterday i was accessing the same drives with the media browser without any issues but today when i open a folder i just get a single still or an aperture symbol appearing. I can still import any of the files in can't view in the media browser into a project. I have tried leaning the cache, rebooting a few times. Any suggestions or tips? Thinking i might have to uninstall and then re install premiere?

I recently tried to re-open a project file that I created earlier today. As soon as it loads, the familiar "Adobe Premiere Pro 2014.1 has stopped working" window comes up.
I created a new project file and it seemed to work fine. When I first started this project, I was having trouble using a ".m2ts" AVCHD movie file (PPro would crash in a similar manner), so I used Media Encoder to change it to a ".mov" Quicktime file. Seemed to work fine after I did that. This new issue only arose once I tried to re-open the project file after shutting down the computer.
Got any suggestions?

I was wondering how does clip work with adobe premier cc?. i have tested it out. but having an issue opening a project i started out in clip. am i doing something wrong when sending my video project up to the cloud and down on to adobe premier pro? and has there been an update in premiere pro that can read iPhone and iPad videos? latly i been using iPhone 5c 16 gb. i am planing to move to the 6 soon in a year bec of storage..

I'm new to premiere pro and editing in general, and doing a trailer and creating a montage for schooling at the moment and I'm wondering what are the best transition to use through editing. I use 'Cross Dissolve' & 'Dip to Black' for video and 'Exponential Fade' & 'Constant Power' predominantly and unsure whether these transitions are used necessarily and if, in the editing industry, these would be considered appropriate.
Is there any tips from experts in editing or Pr or industry professionals that could lend some guidances?

In the GoPro Studio software, I import all of my clips, convert them to AVI, and then stitch all of the clips together with their built in editing software. Then, I export the whole thing as a Cineform file for use in Premiere. However, when I go in to Premiere, it only imports the first clip in the edit, and none of the others. I can open the file in Windows Media Player, and the whole "movie" is there, but in Premiere, it is only the first clip. Any ideas?

I seem to have an issue with Premiere Pro CS6 and Yosemite:
I have a Premiere project made in Premiere 6.0.5 composed entirely of R3D media. While running Mavericks 10.9.5, everything seemed to work just fine. I could play the timeline with or without rendering and I didn't have any error messages to speak of. After doing some research and finding out that CS6 works fine in Yosemite 10.10, I decided to take the plunge and upgrade last night. Today, I opened up the same Premiere project and I got the infamous "An unspecified error occurred while performing a conform action" error message for seemingly every R3D file in the project, and I could not play the timeline without rendering every frame.
I went back to the install disc and restored Premiere to the original 6.0.0, but that didn't help. So while in Yosemite, I updated Premiere back to 6.0.5 and found myself (unsurprisingly) with the same issue. I have a backup of Mavericks 10.9.5 that I can easily revert to, but I'd like to figure out what's going on! Yosemite is the only variable that changed, but I want to figure out what to do to allow Premiere Pro CS6 + Yosemite + R3D files to all play nicely together.
Please let me know if I can provide any more information or if there's anything I can do to get this up and running again.

For as long as I can remember Premiere doesn't seem to honour/maintain the stacking order of effects when you copy them from one clip to another. This is an absolutely huge issue as most people perfect their video/audio effects on a sample clip and then copy to the others. But what is the point of that process if the copy/paste command rearranges the stack order of the effects!
For example I generally use Dynamics, EQ and Volume effects on my audio to add some compression and level out my audio. The levels that the Dynamics is taking as 'input' is very important so EQ and Volume effects are most often stacked on after the results from the Dynamics has been spat out. Yet, when I copy/paste my perfected order and settings, Dynamics always drops to the bottom of the stack which produces a vastly different audio result.
I then need to individually move the Dynamics effect back up the stack on every single clip that I've pasted my settings to. This is a really horrible bug/oversight. While on the topic of bugs, when you add 'Volume' effect to a custom favourites bin, it seems to not be able to be applied from here on subsequent restarts of Premiere.
Or am I missing something in the copy/paste process regarding maintaining the effects stack???

Constant problem I am having, I record in .MP4 in XA25 of someone speaking to camera wearing a Sanken COS-11D lavalier microphone. I then transfer the file to my computer and import the file into Premiere and the voice doesn't match with the video. Seems a few frames out. I suppose I can adjust the audio layer to match the video, but that won't work for a long term solution. Any suggestions?

I installed the new version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC version (8.1) and now the software open the older projects, but the playback does not work, its all black, both of them (source and monitor). After effects works fine.
I already try to re-installed CC, cleaned cash, but same happens. When i move the dimension line to customize my workspace, a crash occurs, looks like an error.

Guys I have been working with Premier Pro and Encore developing videos and creating DVD disc. In the process I have been told that the use of DVDs and Blu-ray may be last years technology, it is close to end of life. Some have suggested the future lies in Adobe Flash videos. So my question is a simple one, "which direction are we moving in for publishing videos"? I am not particularly interested in using Youtube unless this is the "Best" alternative out there for publishing videos. I have a Adobe CC account and I have a Microsoft website, so with that said I would like to know what products I should be using. Can you guys advise?
