Hi, the update to CC 2018 works fine on all programs except Premiere Pro. When starting, it crashes on splash screen with the error message: "Adobe Premiere Pro CC has stopped working". I cannot see that this is related to the "firewall" problem as all the other programs works well. Anyone have the same problem? or maybe a quick fix for this?

Hey there, age old issue. At work we are exporting an .aaf for project (duration 25 minutes). Pro tools say's there is no clip data, on import! Not sure why. Last week we had a work around of breaking into sections and that seemed to work, this week not so lucky.
Has anyone else had this issues. Is there a solution (please say yes)..

I installed CC 2018 a few weeks ago and after holding my breath for several days started to breath easily... Then today, the start screen will randomly not populate every time I return to it and none of the controls will work... Here's an image

I see that when using the Proxy workflow, it still uses the full-resolution media on exports. That's great for the final cut, but when exporting rough cuts it really makes the exports take a whole lot longer - 3x longer on my tests. Would be great if that was an option left up to the user whether to export using proxies of full res media - instead of doing some workaround where I change the location of the original media to force it to export with proxies.
Test export -3 minute 4k sequence with scaled 5k R3Ds (proxies are 1080p ProRes Proxy)
Proxy export (1080p mp4) - 5:55
Original media export (1080p mp4) - 15:05
Well looky here, another ******* bug in Premiere. This time it's adding glitches to video footage that are not just present in the program monitor and exports but become baked into the source clip within Premiere. This glitch is basically a horizontal band of pixels shifting left or right for one or two frames so the talent momentarily looks like their head was run over by a truck. The type of effect you normally pay Red Giant for when you actually want to screw up the look of your video for creative purposes. Of course, we double-checked to make sure it was not in the actual source file by playing the C100 .MTS in VLC - no glitch there. Yet, there it is in the Source monitor, playing back identically every time as if it WERE baked into the source file. How 'bout that ****, huh? Offlining and relinking don't help. The only fix initially was to re-import the clip and use match frame on the corrupted one to fetch in/out points, then drag into the timeline manually and copy/paste any attributes. Efficiency? Who needs that, am I right? I, for one, love having to recut video clips manually for no other reason than the software is a buggy pile of dung. This presented on two of our machines but did not present on another. We discovered that one was running the latest version while the other two were running 12.0.0. Updating resolved the problem. Great, right? But I have to wonder - why did this only emerge after the update was released? How does a new problem develop in an-already released version just because a new one has been released? Good God I miss Magix Movie Edit Pro 2004.
I Created a multi-cam sequence and placed it in my timeline. I went to the wrench in my program monitor and switched it to Multi cam mode so I can see all cameras when I play my sequence, but the problem I am running into is that I only see double of the same camera. When I stop down and double click on the Multicam in the sequence, my preview monitor shows all the cameras, but not when I play it in program? What setting do I have to change so I am able to see all cameras in the program monitor when I play my sequence?

I am using the latest version of prem pro cc. when some effects disappear and now it comes up when saving as ... "can't copy to file please check permissions" Not long changed over from windows based PC to an iMac.
CS5 playback will not switch from internal to external. Should I reinstall the software?
I can still open them in PP 2017, but not in PP 2018. I use a Mac and this is a problem in both Sierra and High Sierra operating systems on 2 different Macs (Mac Pro and Mac pro laptop). I've spent hours with Adobe tech support (screen share, the whole thing), but to no avail. The only work around I've found is to convert the .MTS file to a .MOV file, but that increases file size by at least 4 times. HELP
Anyone know why sometimes my footage and it's audio goes out of sync after around ten seconds, I always thought it was something to do with the video and sound frame rate, but on my previous recording I used 24fps to record my video and a 48000 sample rate for the audio, which are matches and it still happened. It only happens occasionally with my smartphone and webcam recordings, it has never happened with my Canon 60D or Sony XDCAM recordings. But it happens all the time with my screen recording. I use Screenbits for my screen recorder and I don't see how its an app fault as the app is trusted by windows store and cost me £18, plus when i play the recording in my video playing software it is all perfectly synced.
Another forum said I need to make the file type a .mov file instead of an MP4 file, i tried this and it made no difference.
It's really starting to get annoying and i can do with a solution to the problem.

Currently running Premiere on Windows 7, attempting to export a video to H.264 HD 1080p 29.97. The file sits there waiting to encode, makes no progress. I then get an error in the corner that reads: A low-level exception occurred in: H.264 (Exporter).
No other format works either, so I can't export even the sound to MP3.
Interestingly enough, not sure how this relates, but it's worth noting. I can render the effects in the work area, but I can't render the whole work area.
The only thing that might be causing the problem, not sure, is that I have a few different video types I switch between. In the project I have three .mp4 video, a .mov video, and a .wav track. I've mixed formats before so I wouldn't assume that's the issue, but I don't know. Just throwing as much info out there.

Is there anyway to shrink the size of the area highlighted in red on my screenshot? It's such an incredible waste of space on the timeline. It could be made MUCH more compact. It takes up almost 1/4 of the timeline. I can expand it, but this is the smallest it will go. Please help!

I have no idea what to think here. All of a sudden, all of my .pproj files (and auto saves) are missing off my computer. I was working in a project earlier today, even, and that file is gone, too. I thought I may have accidentally saved that file in a different location, and that's when I discovered that every single .pproj file I had saved was missing (dozens of them).
So, some background. I am using Adobe CC 2017. I had .pproj files saved both locally (on my D: drive--Windows) and in Dropbox (which is also synced to a separate folder on the D:drive of my PC). Both of these folders are also backed up by CrashPlan. All .pproj files have disappeared from the local folders, from Dropbox (local and web UI), and CrashPlan backup files. When I open PremierePro, it doesn't show anything under recent files. When I do a search of my computer, none of those missing files come up. They are not in the Recycle (Trash)--of course, as I did not delete them. Nothing else seems to be missing except for these .pproj files (and the associates auto save files). I still have all my After Effects project files (.aep). All the video and audio files that were in the same folders as the Premiere Pro project files are still there. So this definitely seems like the issue is with Premiere Pro.
How in the world did all these files disappear, and is there any way to get them back? I figured having the files backed up locally, through Dropbox, and through CrashPlan would be enough of a contingency plan to prevent the loss of data. However, I have never heard of (or experienced) anything like this before.
Please can someone advise me how to solve this problem, since upgrading my computer refuses to save my work. I'm loosing so much time.

Hi all, I may be doing something rather basic but here goes:
I am trying to export ANY file type from Premiere Pro CC - H264, ProRes, even still Jpeg images all have the same problem - some, not all (I cannot tell which) of the colour grades are not exporting so the Mp4 or .mov or whatever comes out is washed out - but not completely back to Slog.
It doesn't matter what the footage is - I tried reimporting MP4s and ProRes files and re-exporting them, I tried faking the grade but that just made a mess.
Any ideas? Doesn't make any difference if it's with LUTs or without - same issue
Machine is iMac Pro, Graphics card is Radeon Pro Vega 64 16GB, IOS is High Sierra, Adobe CC is up to date (brand new install)

Hey there, so I am having an issue. I shot footage with the new Gear 360 vr camera. Stitched with Action Director, and then imported into Adobe Premiere to edit but all that I import is appearing as green screen. There is audio but no video.
Can someone help me please?

I have an issue where Premier is not allowing me to place video clips onto my timeline - if I attempt to add a clip to my timeline (from the media bin or directly from a windows explorer window) it give me a red circle with a slash through it icon. Oddly though, it does place the audio from the clip on the timeline, just not the video. However, if I save the project and reopen it I can then place the video I attempted previously - but only one clip, if I try to add another, the issue occurs again until I save and reload. I don't think the issue is with the video files themselves, as some of these files I've used previously, and as I said, if I save and reload I can use them without issue. Any help would be appreciated, the issue is quite frustrating.
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, and the issue occurs with the 2017 and 2018 versions
I'm running Windows 10 Home, and currently have Premier Pro 12.0 installed
