A different DaVinci/Premiere question

Hi All,

I am starting out with Canon h.264 dslr footage. I understand that Premiere Pro "opens up" the codec while editing so there is no need to uncompress before I edit. Now I am adding Davinci Resolve into my workflow. I either want to: A) Do my grading first, then export and edit those files in PP. So should I uncompress before I grade and if so what is the best codec for grading in Resolve? (I have a Mac at home and Windows at work. Work and home projects never mix but I would like the same workflow if possible.) And then what would be the best way to export from Davinci for use in PP?
B) I could cut first, roundtrip to Davinci, but then I am using h.264 in Davinci. I assume that it doesn't handle that codec as well as Premiere Pro. Even if it does I still have to render from Davinci and If I use h.264 won't it add to my overall compression?

Also if you guys see that I am asking the wrong questions or going about this completley the wrong way please set me straight.

Using Premiere Pro CS6 and Davinci Resolve Lite 9 on i7 Windows machine and i5 imac

Thanks, Chip Simons
