When importing the Sony EX1 BPAV clips, it comes up with a codec error of some sort, but if I press ok, it lets the files import and all appears to be fine, except, I've noticed that some of my shots have little glitches in them! Very frustrating. I have of course rendered and done everything I can from that perspective but it is almost like they are damaged files! I'm guessing it has to do with the error I get.... the original video files play fine.... they just don't play back well in Premiere, and it is only some clips that play up... not all of them!
I use a sony card reader and transfer the BPAV folder onto my Raid HD system, then import from there.
