I successfully created a Premiere Pro CS5 project using my desktop (i7 with dedicated NVIDIA graphics card) computer with no problems. I then imported the avi video file created on my desktop to my old (mid-level) laptop with same edition of Premiere Pro installed on it and allowed Premiere Pro to create a new project there with no playback problems. After moving Premiere Pro CS5 to my new higher end laptop, I imported the same avi file from the desktop to create a new project on the new laptop, but when I went to playback the video in Premiere Pro on the new laptop, the picture is jerking during playback like frames are being skipped. The new laptop is far superior to my old one, so I'm not sure what the issue is. The new laptop is an i7, 64-bit, 8 Gig RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 650M graphics card.
Is there a different setting that I needed in Premiere Pro on the new laptop?
