I've brought RED scarlett footage into PPro CS6 via Media Browser before, but I've never seen md5sums.txt files come into Premiere with the clips themselves.
From what I understand, these .txt files carry data regarding the media and its location on a server (they are living on an XSAN server volume), but I haven't been able to really find any relevant information regarding these files in regards to Premiere.
It would appear that these are not necessary to keep in the Premiere project, but I am not sure. Can anyone shed some light on these and perhaps help me figure out why they are appearing now but haven't appeared with past RED imports?
